Day 22: Seattle to Portland to Costal Oregon

Stopped for lunch at a cute cafe in Portland. It's chilly in the Pacific Northwest. We backtracked a bit to go up to Cannon Beach, then drove down the coast the rest of the day. A couple times, when 101 diverged from the coastline, we turned right on a random road and drove down to the ocean where we found gorgeous beaches and vistas. The picture of us at sunset is one such discovery. Sparrow road was at least 10 miles straight away from civilization. I don't think we would have done it without the GPS(s).

We loved the Oregon coast. If the weather weren't awful it would be a great place to vacation more often.
